“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you” - Maya Angelou

Growing up with a entrepreneurial father with a knack for storytelling and an English teacher for a mother, words shared around the table were our version of a family business.

While other kids learned that writing was functional, I learned it was transformational when used for good.

This probably explains why I ended up studying international relations across three countries, fascinated by how ideas move through the world and shape entire societies.

But it wasn't until I started working in strategic communications that I discovered the problem that was hiding in plain sight. Everywhere I looked, people were explaining their incredible work in the most forgettable way possible.

I built Common Thread around closing that gap and bringing the humanity back to marketing, because when exceptional people finally find their voice, extraordinary things become inevitable.

Out of the office, you'll find me free diving off the South Coast (looking for things others miss, which is, ironically, much like my job description), hosting storytelling connection dinner events and getting unreasonably excited when someone finally realises that their expertise was never the problem, it was how they talked about it.

Creating a dinner party event where strangers become friends over shared stories and connections.

Favourite storytellers include Anthony Bourdain, Hans Zimmer, Donna Mulhearn and Lucas Jones ( to name a few )

Reading Letters from Gaza, plus my usual habit of having three books going at once because finishing one before starting another is apparently not a skill I possess.

Exploring my bucket list of free diving spots around the world, as there are so many incredible places I want to get to and not nearly enough weekends.

OUR values

Advocating for Equality

We use our platform to speak up for those who aren't yet being heard. We strive for greater inclusivity and opportunity for all, both in our own work and the work we engage with.

Authentic Expression

We believe in marketing that honours your true voice rather than conforming to industry expectations. Every business has a distinct story that deserves to be told with integrity and purpose.

Creative Thinking

We learn what makes each audience unique and combine imagination with empathy, crafting messages that speak directly to the people who have the most to gain from your work.

Trust & Integrity

We do what we say and say what we'll do. We choose what's right over what's easy and welcome challenging conversations if they'll help achieve the most meaningful outcomes.

Social Responsibility

We build partnerships with ethical businesses who put people and purpose first. We don't turn a blind eye to inauthenticity or use our craft for empty promotion without substance.

If you've read this far, we're probably a good match. Let's talk about your story and see if we can help you tell it properly.
